Our history.
Bunn Insurance Services was founded in 1985 by David Bunn, a lifetime Virginian. David knew that he wanted to operate his business in the community that raised him, so after graduating from James Madison University in 1983, he established his agency in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Starting as a small Nationwide agency, we grew through friendly service and cold calls into who we are today. Since then, we’ve established ourselves as a popular name in insurance in our community. After years of growth and expansion into Central Virginia, Elle Bunn Lappan, David’s daughter, has taken over the agency’s North Chesterfield location as a second-generation agency owner. We are proud that our agency is now a woman-owned and operated company, and we strive every day to enrich and spread joy to our community, families, and businesses alike.
